After hanging in Massachusetts College of Art's Bakalar Gallery from June through September, the 2007 BoNE Show has been dismantled and is being prepared to travel as BoNE on The Road!
THEN: From Fall 2005 to summer 2006, and headed by Josh Silverman of AIGA Rhode Island, the 2005 BoNE Show toured New England for the first time. It created design awareness, AIGA awareness, fostered dialogue in and across communities, and planted the seeds for two new AIGA chapters (Maine and New Hampshire/ Vermont).
Host sites included the RISD Design Gallery in Providence, RI; the Northampton Center for the Arts in Northampton, MA; the UConn School of Fine Arts Department in Storrs, CT; Jordan Silverman Photograph in downtown Burlington, VT; and it launched the AIGA Maine chapter when it debuted at Portland City Hall.
NOW: The 2007 Show is available to tour again – just like the tagline says, “Bringing the Best of New England to the Rest of New England.” The BoNE Show on the Road Committee will be available for assistance in logistical and event coordination.
A new distributed approach is being implemented, whereby interested parties can borrow one complete set of the show for exhibition in their area. No rental fees will be imposed, but the borrower will be responsible for shipping and exhibition costs. Click here to download our Loan Form with details, terms and conditions.
