In contrast to museums that try to be all things to all people, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum trumpets its eccentric, nuanced and focused nature. One example is the centennial report that detailed the events of the museum's anniversary year and underscored the interrelationship of each department in the museum by illustrating how they came together around Three Portraits of Isabella, music composed by Artist-in-Residence David Ludwig.
